A guide for swimming with cochlear implants.
Vacation is the most marvelous time in the whole year, but an audio processor is also a marvel… of technology! Cochlear implants are prosthetic devices which substitute natural hearing.
Vinnic 357 silver oxide batteries do not require air to operate, making them ideal for swimming and other water sports where the audio processor is enclosed in a MED-EL WaterWear cover or a Cochlear Aqua waterproof case. SR44 batteries serve as a temporary and safe replacement for alkaline 675 batteries.
These batteries allow swimming with an audio processor sealed in a WaterWear or Aqua covers; however, their runtime is shorter compared to standard batteries.
Since they do not rely on air for operation, the risk of leakage is significantly lower compared to alkaline batteries.
