This handy device can be used to test whether a signal is being transmitted from the coil and cable to the implant. The Speech Processor Test Device (SPTD) will indicate by a simple red LED whether or not the processor is communicating with the coil.

 

Note: use the Speech Processor Test Device with the coil removed from the head.
