MED-EL AudioLink
The MED-EL AudioLink is a device used to transfer audio from various audio sources wirelessly and directly to the audio processor. It works with the following MED-EL processors: Sonnet, Sonnet 2, Sonnet EAS, Sonnet 2 EAS. Rondo 3.
Sound can be delivered to the AudioLink in three ways:
- wired (via 2.5mm jack connector) - e.g. by connecting a phone, tablet, MP3 player or TV*,
- wirelessly via Bluetooth - e.g. during a phone call (AudioLink works as a headset - you can answer, conduct and end calls, as well as control the volume), additionally after installing the Audio2Ear application you can transmit audio wirelessly from your mobile device (e.g. music, movies, etc),
- with the AudioLink built-in microphone - it can be used as a speech support, e.g. in meetings, at school or during lectures (range up to 3 m).
* In the case of a TV, the cable can be connected to the headphone output or to a RCA output, which usually retains the function of the TV's built-in speakers.
In addition, the Sonnet / Sonnet EAS processor can be controlled via AudioLink (instead of the remote control, e.g. change programs) in the AudioKey or AudioKey 2 application. The Sonnet 2 / Sonnet 2 EAS / Rondo 3 processors (AudioKey 2 only) can be controlled (e.g. change programs) without using AudioLink.
