The choice of dome / sleeve affects the frequency response of the hearing aid amplification, therefore the same domes / sleeves should be used as originally selected by your hearing care professional!
The open dome has ventilation holes. This avoids the occlusion effect while providing an open feeling in the ear canal. Open domes are best for mild hearing loss, as the sound is clearer and less intense than with other types. The use of domes / sleeves makes fitting the hearing aids extremely quick and convenient. They provide excellent hearing comfort and are easy to use and maintain.
The domes / sleeves are made of a skin-friendly material, which guarantees optimal comfort during long-term wear. They hold well in the ear, and the smoky color is less prone to discoloration and yellowing.
The domes / sleeves are available in a variety of sizes to fit almost any ear canal:

Phonak recommends replacing your domes monthly (or when they become stiff or brittle) to maintain optimal performance and sound quality.
